Introduction
2008 has been a very sluggish year in multiple areas which has made a significant impact on how people travel, shop, work and vacation. The economy has been very slow and with recession knocking on the door if not already in, the average family in the United States is struggling to meet the ends meet with not knowing what tomorrow may bring. People are not sure about jobs and at the same time housing market has dipped. Typically during almost every family has big summer plans each year to go on vacations. Kids have school vacation and usually people tend to visit summer attractions like amusement parks, beaches, national parks, etc. With sky rocketing gas prices there has been a huge decline in travel this year. Amusement parks especially Six Flags has decided to make your vacation cheaper by slashing the admission costs to all of its parks. In this article we will make an attempt to review the latest revision in prices at Six Flags and Disney World.
Six Flags Admission Cost Revisions
As discussed in my previous articles, the online prices are cheaper than the price at the park. But for this article let us review the price at at the park gate. SF Discovery Kingdom daily admission used to be .99 and it is now reduced to .99. SF New England is also .99 as opposed to regular .99. Child tickets at Six Flags America in Baltimore is also reduced to .99 which is off original price. With the latest Six Flags deals available you can also get the adult ticket for the child price. So a visit to SF Baltimore will cost you .99 per piece for both adults as well as children. SF Great Adventure in New Jersey had also reduced its admission fees and now you will pay .99 instead of .99 you would pay otherwise. Tickets to SF St Louis, SF Over Georgia, Kentucky Kingdom have been reduced to .99, .99 and .99 respectively. There are some online coupons and promotional Six Flags deals available that would knock down the prices offering even more discount.
Walt Disney World Trip Will Cost a Bit More
As of August 3, 2008 Walt Disney World revised the admission prices to all types of tickets by nearly 5%. The 3 day admission used to be 3 and will now be 2. Similarly 4-day, 5-day and 7-day base admission tix will now cost 9, 2 & 8 respectively which means an increase of , & respectively. Although this is more of an increase considering the inflation, one should not anticipate any impact on the attendance at the Walt Disney World.
Conclusion
This revision of prices will offer you a better idea as to which of these parks may fit your budget. Now this may be the perfect time to visit your favorite Six Flags theme park.
